Alphanet PABX Services

Alphanet PABX Ltd is a 100% NZ owned and operated company.

David Kennard first became a Telecom accredited PABX partner 30 years ago.

Initially in March 1992 David Kennard founded a small company called Comtech Telecommunications. His vision of treating all Clients as equally important saw Comtech quickly develop a reputation for outstanding service.

Even today, David attends every installation to inject his expertise and offer the special attention we think you deserve.

"Over the years, we received many industry accolades being a finalist for the "Business of the Year" award in 1995, and was also nominated for a "Classic Hits" Good Service Award by the general public invited to call a local radio station. We treasure this award the most because it came from our customers going to the trouble.

In 2005, we were awarded "Best Partner" at LG Electronics Worldwide Conference held in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Communication is the most important aspect of our business and we pride themselves in creating the fastest possible response to any enquiries to provide the assistance you may need.

We work extensively in the business market – including a cross section of industries from larger costumers in the areas of Accounting, Investment Financing, IT Companies, Serviced Offices, Hospitals, Security Companies, through to a range of smaller businesses often with less than 5 users".

VoIP services

VoIP? Conventional phone lines? Or a mixture of both?

Many businesses are today using this type of connection instead of conventional phone lines. Cost savings are achieved with very low connection and call costs - the service these days is very good with echoing, outages or delayed speech now a thing of the past. Now, broadband has improved greatly in most parts of the country and we can provide a single free Internet SIP trunk as a trial for our clients – they not only discover great clarity but they also find their monthly costs diminished substantially.

Choosing a PABX System

Something to think about when it comes to choosing a PABX System…

  • Expansion -- Never buy a PABX with all available ports used from day one.
  • Line types -- Analogue or ISDN lines? VoIP trunks? Or a mixture? -Talk to us!
  • Line features -- For example direct dial numbers (DDIs)? Or pilot lines with stepping? Or both?
  • Automatic operator – This can be a great advantage but be careful not to annoy your customers - talk to us!
  • Keyphones with labelled buttons and lights make life easy.
  • Good training and Good habits are essential especially when using voicemail.
  • Backup service is important and should continue to be available well after the warranty period expires
